Scientists in the UK have found microplastics in the lung tissue samples of 11 out of 13 patients who were to undergo surgery. And these are the same toxic materials used to manufacture face masks. The Hull York Medical School study found 39 kinds of microplastics, polypropylene (23%), polyethylene terephthalate (18%) and resin (15%).
